I am looking for some one that has experience with remus on the 08's. Concerned that my XB is running lean with a drummer pipe.

Im running a Drummer with a K&N. And for the spring Im throwing on an open airbox, all on the stock ECM. You'll be just fine, don't worry about it.

They come stock running lean - you're bike is running pretty lean Boney; but it's your bike. But you could get a Race ECM and make it run even better with the mods you've done, improving power, response as well as the super lean condition you're going to have when you do the open box. The leaner it runs, the shorter the life on the engine.

Not heard of a lot of Buellers using Remus, though I'm sure there are some that will post up.

Just for your info Stevenc150 there is no real race ecm available for us 08+ owner unless we have a race license and over 800$ to spend so before giving advice next time do your home work please.

Trojan @ trojan-horse.co.uk (a BWB sponsor) would be the guy to talk to, send him a message in the vendor area.

I have a Remus on my 04 XB12R. I run an open air box with a K & N, race chip and the Free Spirit Reverso exhaust. I have not run the bike on the dyno so I don't know how much of an effect the Remus has on the set up. The bike feels great, it idles fine there are no flat spots and it pulls like gangbusters through the midrange until the rev limiter kicks in. The bike feels lots stronger with the same set up and the race exhaust. It could just be the pipe but ???

Yeah that's right. No need to get your panties in a wad though......or get them in a wad. Makes no difference to me. I mainly just wanted to make the point of running lean being bad for the engine and it's best to address it.

I appreciate all comments but would like to here from someone that has used the system...I have had a few harley's in the past and this one blues the pipes pretty good and far from the motor. If it helps the bike a little (stumbles and popping) than I am willing to sacrifice some mpg's. Thanks for any perspectives.

Read the thread titled "Lean Symptoms". Here on the XB board, or search.
