Just a fyi... Metzeler is recalling 'sportec M-1 P' manufacture dates Jan 26-Feb 08, 2003... It's only about 53 tires... Something about too much belt tension while they were being manufactured... Could cause a bubble on the tire, it sounds like it's on the fronts... (according to mcn)

You got any more info on this?
I have the Sportec M-1 on my front and rear, just wondering where you got this info from so I can see if it applies to me.

Thanks V2win, that's the info... It was a posting in the latest Motorcycle Consumer News... It reminds me of a Consumer Reports for bikes, no advertising, yada, yada... You're supposed to be able to tell the manufacture date from the numbers in the sidewall. I think it tells the month and date of manufacture but I've forgotten the specifics...
