Hey folks,

Anyone done any of the above mods?

Going off road and standing on the pegs, I have to lean down to the bars, so another inch in height would sort it quite nicely (until I put on some Uly rear sets), but do you think I'll hit any problems with cable lengths or other gotchas in raising the bars that high?

If you go Uly bars, your gonna need new cables. I got a Uly pars here, I will put them next to my STT bars to show you the huge difference. Just sold the Uly bar, sorry!

I put Uly bars on my City X.

Its a HUGE difference all for the better.

You do need to change the throttle cables, brake line, and clutch cable.

Here are some pictures of the Uly bars placed next to my STT bars.

I recommend the risers on the standard bar.
Not only do they raise the bar but enable you to turn them more toward the front without hitting the fork adjusters.
I was able to use the standard cables and brake lines on my XB9S.

Let's be clear here. With 1" risers you can get away with stock cable lengths on your TT. I did, but it's close.

With ULY bars there's no way as Froggy and Chris Rogers said and I don't doubt them for a minute cause that's a huge difference.

Or you could go to Blast bars with stock cables. they bring you up and in closer. I did it on my CityX. You will have to reroute your brake line from under your fairing, but it is cheaper than doing the cable change. It did what I needed, it got me up in the pegs and off the saddle for the dirt whoopdees.

Well I ordered the bars from Xring60 and they only took 4 days to get to NZ from the states. Maybe Lance Armstrong is still working with the US Postal Service?

Fitted them on Saturday and they slotted in quite nicely. Only had to muck about with some cable ties and all cable lengths are fine.

I'm now sitting a lot more upright, which is a damn good thing. Might have to look at a touring screen to take the weight of my chest now though.

But who can argue with needing more bling?

Now it's time for the General Lee paint job.
