I was out riding around the city last night. I made a stop last night to pick something up and when I went to start the bike, I heard a "click" and then I lost all power. No lights, nothing. Fuse problem? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a simple ground problem. Did you try wiggling the battery connections?

Possible relay or loose battery connection.

I ended up pushing the bike home last night (about 15 blocks). Got home at 1am. Just covered it and went to bed. Will work on it this afternoon. Just wanted to get some ideas of where to start. Thanks guys.

I replaced my battery last year and the months after it was plauged by electrical issues. I put a better battery in it and havent had one issue. I didnt think a bad battery could cause all of my problems but it did.

I had a similar problem with my 08 XB12Ss. Got up early to meet up with some friends for a ride to Santa Cruz. Stopped at the gas station shut of my bike, put gas, went to restart and nothing but a click. Checked my fuses and my headlight fuse was bad so I pulled one of the extras and replaced it and it started right up... I am assuming the bike won't let it self start without the head light working for safety reasons.

This happened 2 other times through out the day so I stopped by santa cruz harley and they did a full run through on my bike and could not get the problem to happen again. Luckily it hasn't happened since then and SC Harley gave me some extra fuses to carry with me incase it happens again.
