Just bought an 05 XB12scg and Iam in love. The quality is amazing and the fit and finish is very nice. The bike suits me much better than my S1 did.

I was torn between the XB and speed triple but I no longer have any desire for another bike. Everything about this bike is amazing to me.

My only gripes so far is the heat the seat soaks up and maybe the comfort. Ive heard the select seat is a big improvement so I may go that route.

I have a couple questions since I didnt get the factory manual with it:

If you turn the ignition from the lock position counter clockwise there is a headlight symbol and then next it says "zadi". What do those two positions do?

Congrats on the new bike,...if you need a manual you can register your bike on Buell.com and get access to a free PDF of the owners manual. Best of luck...

Headlight symbol and P is park.

Zadi probably is manufacturer.

Any of the board sponsors. But I recommend Gainesville H-D/ Buell. Ask for Paul in parts. He'll hook you up!

I knew you'd like the Scg. I can't part with mine!

As for the spare, do you have the little blue tag with numbers? You might need it.

The previous owner just gave me one key with no blue tag. He said he lost the other spare. Iam guessing that blue tag is important.

It's not really important. You can probably most likely get another one from the stealership along with another key.

Just get a copy made of your current key by a real locksmith or dedicated key cutting place. The blank is an Ilco X270. Use the copy and keep the original in a safe place.

You just need to give the dealer the vin number, new keys are fairly cheap.

Zadi is the name of the key manufacturer. Moto Guzzi also has Zadi blanks, perhaps it is Italian.

I've heard that mid 80's Volvos used the same key blank, so a decent keysmith should have a match for you. ymmv.

And don't forget to check w/Special Ops in the sponsor section. You may be interested in their heat blankets. And congrats on the new ride. Enjoy!

"New keys are fairly cheap"

I only have one key so I went to the dealer and they told me $30. for a set of 2 new keys. Seems a little pricey to me.

I got a couple blanks off ebay instead and brought them to a locksmith. The guy was very nice and didn't charge me anything to cut them.
