Would it be possible to paint the translucent plastic on my XB? Any painters around here?

Thanks,
Matt

swap might be a better deal, what color do you have, and what color are you looking for?

I always wondered what it would look like if you painted the inside of the translucent plastics.

It can be done, and looks good when done right. The pieces have to be preped properly.

The wind screen on my old bike was hero blue, and the tank was translucent orange before paint.

After paint--

I know a very good painter but that depends upon what your after. I see your in Illinois so your not far from me. If your looking just a color change. My guy is not for you. If you want a custom job of sort then my guy is for you.

Personaly I waited until I could get a set of solid plastics to paint, that way I still have the translusents should I decide to change colors again...

Changed the yellow plastics to orange! I did them myself in my garage. Turned out pretty good, well worth the $70 I spent on supplies. Sandpaper, primer, paint, clear.

It would look like crap imo.

Well, I've got the Translucid Blue on my bike, and I really like the orange. Even the translucent orange would be cool.

Thanks Delta

All the "silver" is on the outside of the a/b, and if you look close there is some "smoke trails" on the inside of the a/b.

I'd be remiss if I didn't include the painter Thad Cunningham, near Altoona, PA, yes he does "mail order" work as well. LMK, if you need a contact number, it seems his website is down.
