for the last couple of weeks I starting have a strange problem. It's a pop like backfire? that happen once and only once within three mins of me starting off and I'm taking it easy on the gas.

Yep I let the bike warm up. Got gas at another station and even had a TPS reset done. It still does it. Other than that it runs fine, other than a bit of surging around 3500RPM and I was told that just the way of the beast. Any ideas or is this another bit of owning a Buell. I really don't mind as I said it only does it once BUT I really don't want to end up on the side of the road either!

Not really clear what you're describing. Do you mean a backfire where you can feel a slight "buck" of the engine? That would be bad.

A series of popping when you back off the throttle is normal and, in my case, desired. I like that sound.

On that surge, I just started a thread asking about that. It seems most have their surge at 4200 and that seems to be part of the design for cruising.

Yep a slight "Buck" is what I feel. Bad huh? Bad to the shop then I guess.

Mine does that occasionally. Some days, I will start her up, and she will idle like it isnt getting enough fuel or spark. As I try to take off, It will miss and nearly lock up the reartire as I roll on the throttle, then run like uter crap the rest of the day. Fire it up the next day, and she runs like a champ. Damn gremlins!

Mine was doing that. Over time it got worse and worse to the point of stalling out! Turned out it was the heat sensor..... Now it runs great!
