It will take more than bonus and overtime to get to 200 on ANY Buell, achieving the need horsepower to get there is very costly, just think of the amount of custom parts, research and development to get there. I wouldn't say NEVER but time will tell, however talk doesn't cost much.

Ridrnkink18 This message is to you. If you go all the way back to your original post on the 1125r thread, I stated that I would come to you to see this bike. You have never responded. Usually people on this site get together with others that live semi close by to ride and or check out bikes. I saw you were new, saw you lived close by and thought it would be nice to get together. I’m 25yrs old and thought maybe our riding groups would get along. I read way more then I post on this site because there is a lot to learn / gained from being a member on here. I strongly suggest you don’t piss off Glitch. My offer still stands for meeting up. I wrote that it would never happen because the guys WHO HAVE turbo’ed their XB’s have never claimed that kinda speed. Now if you say gearing is the key, all your doing is letting the rest of us know how far off reality your thinking is. Gearing can help top speed but you need massive amount of HP’s to fight the physics of moving that fast. I really do hope you build a great XB; I love these bikes and would like nothing more then to see a great custom XB. I post honestly and straight to the point. This MIGHT just be some web site to you, but to me it’s a place were FRIENDS come together to share knowledge and experience. When/If you want to meet a fellow Bueller from this site, hit me up.

Bub's motor. They cast the block themselves, made the heads, everything. The number I heard is they have 8 million in this streamliner.

Our good friends Bennett's Performance (Long Beach CA), sporting a new tail section for this year. They've gone 191, on gasoline. It's a fast bike and they are very good tuners.

RideDrinkInk:

This is what 200 mph bikes look like on race day.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and take a guess that yours looks nuthin like those.

Let us know when your ready for the real deal, cause we love this shit.
Don't forget, it will take a good team (crew) and maybe a sponsor or two to fund the attempts.

If you get up every morning, thinking about your buell like I do, then call Dan at NRHS. Ask him what it will take to get u there. Your only other option is to go back home, tuck in yer lil tail and be nice to these guys around here. No 18 yr old punk talk.....just ask the question respectivley....then LISTEN while he is talking. A few conversations like that and you will be well on your way to glory. Then you will have friends that want to hear about how well you did.

I wish 30 years ago, someone would have given me that speech when I was 18.

Woulda given me a five year head start.

yeah, but they are old and "the knowledge in their heads means nothing" especially when
compared to someone who is "just that lucky, or just that good" and has "sophisticated ideas"
and a much better grasp of how to build fast vehicles than all of these old guys that
have been doing this for longer than he has been alive.

I mean really, these "old guys" use those meaningless dynos to tune their bikes when they
should be out testing them against someone else's speedometer!
(which as everyone knows is the real yardstick for performance, not hard numbers.)
I mean really, who would use something like a dyno to adjust the cells in their maps
when they can just guess, and "Tune, tune, tune" and then gear it to the moon?

Did you know that according to my butt dyno my bike has a bazillion horsepower?
I KNOW it'll do 300 because when I ran it against a Maseratti and they backed off at 130
it still had more in it!
Don't doubt, you guys just don't know what my generation can do with our "sophisticated"
(5 syllable word!) ideas!

oops I used punctuation and grammar and no l33t speak in that last post please try to take it seriously bcuz real pros dont use that stuff just old guyz that just dont know what fast is or what these machines can do because they were never 20 and had more balls than brains

Seriously Bryan, you are burning bridges here with the attitude you are slinging around.
You are not coming off as an intelligent, thoughtful individual.

There are people, me among them, who know a fair bit about speed and what it takes to
build a fast Buell, but you are very quickly alienating all of them by way of your disparaging
remarks regarding everything they have accomplished.

You really need to re-assess your position and consider whether you want to make enemies
out of the guys you came on the board and asked for information about turbos, compression
ratios, and even fairings. (Yes treadmarks, he runs a firebolt with the stock bikini
upper, and the chin spoiler removed. Abysmal aerodynamics for top end runs)

hey smart ass, i know i dont post here very often , but maybe you should listen to the old guys , their knowledge comes from expierence not just talking to hear them selfs, ive been racing drag bikes for almost 10 years and currently have a yamaha v-max that is displaced at 1500 cc and runs keith black high compression piston's and rings <13.5.1> ratio , falicon cams , carillio titianium valves and springs and a stage 7 k&n jet kit , and a 4 in to 1 star racing drag pipe , all DYNO TUNED to 278 hp 296 foot lbs of torque, it runs a 8.76 quarter at 189.34 mph since you know all, please meet me in september at coastall plains dragway located in jacksonville n.c. i would arrange a sooner ass spankin , but i am currently deployed to iraq, so as soon as i go on r&r ill arrange to demonstrate why and how dyno tuning contributes to your quarter mile and top speed , all at no cost to you if your that confident in your machine ill even run you and give you a whole 2 second lead on the christmas tree, but i dont think you want it that bad, or we could run for pink slips, i could sell your bike to pay for the supercharger ive been lookin at only $3500 but i dont suspect any one is gonna pay that much for a bike a kid has wrenched on and probaly screwed up beyond repair, as for your generation, guss what , its my generation as well, and i dont appericiate you giving the younger ppl in the sport a bad name here on bad web , these are good people, dont abuse your privledges to have such a good support channel , most sport bike riders would kill to have this much support with tuning and setup from old guys that know what their talkin about, just dont be a punk , meet me at the strip, im out ulyman!

HA! I knew I could find this video! I absolutely LOVE this show, it's 'Top Gear' on the BBC in the UK. They got the amazing Bugatti Veyron up to its top speed (253mph+)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hEZc4JMMsk

I have read through this post, and when I read...
"...i have custom made sprockets that will gear my bike to do 200 and the power from the turbo is exactly what i need to get it there...so whoever says it cannot happen...just look into it yourself..go to machine shop, have sprockets made...feel the difference in gearing...than tell me with the right amount of power that it will not make it to two hundo. they dont make the small tooth sprockets that i had CUSTOM made. going with a 35 tooth when i have the bikes motor complete...will surely get to 200. i will have my buddy who is a cop...radar me when its done take a picture with me going by him and a picture of the radar. I wont let you all down...and i will keep fighting for my statement of being able to do 200"
It made me think of this video. At about 1:40 into this clip he says...
"Getting a car to do 155mph frankly isn't really very difficult. The Veyron needs just a piffling 270hp to reach that speed, but 253[mph]...crieky! The faster you go, the more mother nature tries to hold you back. So to do the next 100mph, the 100mph that takes you up to 250[mph], needs another 730hp!"

So how much HP would an XB need to get to 200mph (when geared correctly)? Could a Garrett GT20 ball bearing turbo'd 1250cc making about 150ish get it there?
Any one know how to calculate this?

I would personally save the XB for carving the canyons and smokin' 600's in lil street races. Take some money and invest in a nice turbo for an 1125r... NOW THAT WILL GET TO 200!!! LOL

WAIT A MINUTE.

What happened to I'm not young! I'm not a kid.

Your 20. You have all of this worldly knowledge of how to build bikes, cars, and go fast engines. You could have at least finished (started) college before going off on the people on this site. The age post was the topper, I see you are a troll and doing this just to get a rise out of the people on this site. Get another life, please! If and when this bike becomes reality, please post pics and ride the hell out of it. We will all give in and say wow the kid really did it.

Until then sit back and read, ( the thing you do to learn about stuff ) ask questions, and FRIGGIN BE NICE!.

yea yea yea im not trying to be harsh towards anyone i respect everyones opinion...but everyone has their own ways of seeing and thinking of things...and anyone who doesnt wake up and think about their buell is crazy...I dont need college to learn about this stuff im more of a see it once remember for a life time...and i have plenty of gearhead friends who build 10 second cars and really nice bikes. Some were just gifted with the ability to know things. I am not saying i know EVERYTHING but when it comes to making something really fast...i seem to pull it off and keep it reliable at the same time. I have been sitting back and asking questions but when some people on this thread have to snap out with it will never be done or your just 20 i have been building bikes longer than ur alive...of course it makes me annoyed because noone here knows my capabilities untill i finish the bike. I will post pics I will come to new york to ride with all you guys..personally i like jersey roads but you gotta be careful around here because not to many people know how to drive. But in my eyes its the rider not the drivers...you just have to watch out for those kind of people and pick your lane 3-4 cars ahead of time thats how I get through and it seems to work gloriously. Im not saying anyone here has no knowledge i take back all the remarks i made. Just dont put me down..just say when its done....BRING IT...cause i hold myself to that word I will bring it..Everyone will change their thoughts about me "the 20 year old kid" with an 18 year old attitude...Hahaha reminds me of all the kids i went to highschool with they are all a year older than me and act as if they were 15...thats why i dont really talk to them anymore...2 faced lying hot shots...is how they are but really they know nothing except to use mommy and daddys money to get their life going. anyway i apologize to EVERYONE for snapping but i know i can do it

Um, if you believe that "some were just gifted with the ability to know things."I have
a really nice bridge to sell you, it even has one end in Jersey!

Knowledge does not just appear in a persons head. It is hard won through life experience,
or learned from someone who has that experience.

If you already have the knowledge and don't need to ask why isn't the bike already done?

You've had it for whole months to gain all the experience you need, and order all the parts.
You also have more and better knowledge than anyone here (as evidenced by your "maybe im
just that good" quote when questioned on your 200mph claims on your big bore naturally
aspirated 9). I can pull the quotes from the thread if you like, but you made the statements
no one else made them for you.

No one is being childish except the boy claiming that his brother could beat up my
brother except his brother is in the Army right now, and injured, and in the brig, and
there are no pictures in his house of the brother, because they don't take pictures of
him in their family they just bring him along when they want to show him off because
he once killed 200 men with his bare hands, well maybe 190+, well, he'll kill 200 when
he gets himself an M-60! Then they'll take pictures of him with the bodies....but
only then! By the way, where do you shoot someone to kill them? I already know,
but I'm just asking to see what you guys think....

Sound familiar? It should.

I could do that when I was five. Does that mean I could have built a turbo XB that hit 200mph then?

hmmmmmm, thats a good one brian, well id have to say go for my personal favori, te, a freakin head shot of course! and the m.60 is over rated, lotsa fire power for sure but a baret big 50. cal sure makes a really pretty pink mist at 400 meters!, on another note there kinky head, what drag strip is closest to your home town i may even like to travel a bit , if your done with your bike by september and its as fast as u claim i still wanna run you on the track providing you wont hold it aginst me for running a piece of 8 second jap crap lol, and by the way diablo, check my profile , I AM in the army in iraq and still killin , not up to 200 yet but who keeps count of that stuff anyway! thats not something to be proud of, its just a job , but i understand , i was ticked when i read kinks posts about "old guys " but hey give the kid a chance, i just hope hes got really deep pockets , an 8 second bike ran me almost $17.000 but a simple sprocket swap and i KNOW its good for 220 mph , but thats still to be proved and im not makin the statement tounge in cheeck , becouse i have faith in mine and my mechanics work , plus with 278 hp , it better break 200, a stock busa with a sprocket swap will do 210!, good luck to u kinky head, and brian lay off the kid, but if he persists down grading the ppl who try to help em' contact an admin and have his posting prividleges revoked, other than yall play nice ! sheesh too dag on much drama around here!
the pink mist maker!!!
, id post a pic of my 50.cal but that i cannot do, due to it being considered a seceret clearance issue becouse of the thermal optics we are useing, !

Something someone posted on another forum mocking someone similar to the OP.

I just built a triple turbo 3sgte. It's pretty ****ing amazing. I started the design on ms paint this morning at about 9:30. It's not 7pm and it's up and running. It was finished at about 11am though. I had to do some dyno runs in my shed. I would have been done longer but my flux capacitor died and I had to get one rushed delivered from China. You know they make some durable ****. Anyways, It dynoed at about 800bhp. This is on the stock ECU, stock rails, stock everything, except my BOV. Which I bought off ebay. They also through in one of those flame thrower kits, it's crazy because I didn't think it'd add hp but it did. If I didn't have it i'd be pushing about 700whp. My tuner did an amazing job at the work. He even flew to Antarctica to get some Polar Bear piss because it can be filtered into 140 octane gas. On the street it's pretty crazy. I broke a few stock axles trying to just go from a stop. It puts down THAT much tq. It's uncontrollable in 1-3rd so I just use 4th to go from a stop. It still spins the wheels a bit. I've never seen a car with so much tq. I raced a Veyron about 10 minutes ago, it got dusted. Talk about 0-60. Wow it felts like .245 seconds, before I knew it I Was in Iowa. I'm gonna have to borrow my moms camera, I can't afford one with my salary......

I have some rules actually I made up on another forum I'm a member of about posting crazy builds.

I should find them for you ridrnkink18 It's not a joke. It's serious and it could help you.
