will a 190 fit on a firebolt? its a 2005. ive been told it will but it looks realllllly close to the belt already?

not interested in the performance? just looks ! if i wanted the performance i would stay with the 180 on the rear! i want a bigger tire?

will it fit yes or no?

yes. But put a 190/50 on so you have no issues with the belt guards.

i dont think i have belt guard anyways? the only one is up front above the tensioner pully? it has three screws holding it on! other than that i think i dont have any?

so it will fit? it wont rub the belt or wheel? i hope not cuz im picking it up tomarrow?

with that said how do you remove the rear wheel? i havent taken it off before? is it hard and can i do it myself?

It's easy.

Place a jack under the rear jackpoint of the exhaust system.

Loosen pinch bolt (just in front of axle, under the swingarm and the right side).

Loosen axle (use the supplied axle nut or a 13/16" plug socket fitted to an extension backwards).

Be VERY careful when removing the belt from the pulley. After you've removed the axle you push the tire forwards and the belt should slide off the left side of the pulley.

DO NOT twist the belt or bent it backwards on itself or bend it too tightly towards itself.

DO NOT twist the belt.

Pull the rear tire rearwards.

DO NOT step on the rear brake pedal (or even touch it)

Re-assembly is the reverse.

DO NOT twist the belt.

Remember to pump the rear brake lever a few times after you're finished before you start moving.

Get a service manual.

Fiveowejoe,

Listen maybe Nautique4life was wrong but at the same time so are you. Your response might of been alittle more mature. 2 posts and one of them you have managed to insult him 3 times in one post. If you want to survive here you may want to control yourself a wee bit there bud.

"i have never been nagged at my typing skills by anyone?"

Dude, why did you end that with a question mark? Also, the "i" should have been capitalized.

The first time I changed a back tire on an XB it cost me a belt. Then I read about it and found out what I had done wrong.
These bikes are a little different and sometimes the simplest proceedures are different also. Get the manual please. It will pay for itself quickly.
fwiw I don't care how you spell or punctuate but please try to be respectful to folks you don't know.

for what its worth i ended up buying a pirellis to match the one on the front and will be getting it mounted with in the next few days. my digi cam is down but as soon as i get it back from service ill try to get som pics of my bike for the forum to rip apart. ive seen the pics of most the rides on here and im pretty much a stocker with a few home mods.

once again, thank you for all the info if you posted any.
