Going around a nice low speed left handed sweeper today. I came in at the posted speed 35MPH. My rideing buddy was up about 8 bike lengths. 3/4 of the way along and I am seeing this A@#$%le in a cage with tires in my lane. I got slowed down to around 20, but went off the side of the road. Bank is about 11 feet down at around a 50 degree slope. I missed a piece of pipe and some concrete blocks, but messed up the left side of the bike pretty bad.

Parts broke on me NONE. I had a motoboss mesh jacket and Alpinestar Smx gloves on. No damage to me, but tore the face shield off the left side of the helmet.

Parts broke on bike:
all left side
Mirror, turn signal ( front and rear ) scratched the plastic pretty bad, trashed the light switches. Magnesium bracket BROKE. ( JB weld will fix it..LOL ) shifter joints and all thread busted.

The real pisser. Bike is 2 weeks old and there is less than 200 miles on it. I will get it purty again and will be right back on it.

Driver didn't stop. I popped right up out of the ditch and tried to get a plate #. No good. The cars behind him stopped, but I saw no reason to involve the police. I am not even going to claim it, since repair costs will be under 500 bucks.

Already tore down and looking for parts. Thanks for the kind words. I can say that the Motoboss mesh jacket saved my hide.

GOOOOOD GEAR. No doubt I will be wearing good gear at all times when riding.

Glad that you're okay, inattentive drivers are enemy #1 to us as riders.
The bike can be fixed, and I am SO glad to hear that you were wearing your gear!

That happened to me right after I started riding my first street bike. The ditch I went in wasn't big. Didn't even go down, just throttled it right through and into someones yard. Thought about giving chase but was busy checking my shorts.
Glad to hear you are unscathed.
