I got all the stuff to get the rear tire changed on my bike.

I ask a few question and read a bit. So I bought a rear lift, got the manual (from Andy) and tire. Both the tire and manual showed up today so I read the removal part, who'd though to remove the rear fender? A friend dropped by to help out by steading the bike, the bike went up on the lift no problems, and the wheel came off and is in the trunk with the new tire to get to the shop after work tomorrow.

Someone posted about using window wedge/shimes to keep the rear pads in place...works great all for $.68! I also bought a big can of anti seize and grease to stop the rust.

In other words thanks for the tips guys!

I did notice a ding, right on the edge, of the tension wheel from a rock I guess as I didn't drop it and it seems smooth should I worry or just keep and eye on it?

Now you need to get reading on how to do your own tires. Not difficult at all and will save some cash in the long run.

Tires are a breeze on these bikes. Although I could probably mount and balance them myself, there are 2 local shops and 1 Dealer (BadWeb sponsor Gainesville H-D)I like to support whenever I can!
