Hey all,
I crashed my 06' XB12ss about 3 weeks ago and the dealership is having some difficulty getting a new primary drive cover in. Was wondering if someone might have one lying around or if one of our sponsors might have one on the shelf.

You be careful!
Maybe someone with HDNet can do a search.

Hey I need a cover. My clutch ramp took the mount out of the case. If you are willing to sell it. I am looking for a XB9R primary.
Any one out there have any idea about how this might if happened.

I am looking for a XB9R primary.
Be sure to by the correct year.
We made the mistake of trying to fit a newer cover on an older bike.
The newer Buells (with the upgraded transmission) aren't interchangeable with the older models. The shift shaft is the same size.

Thanks ft bstrd. Thats a P47D model. Love that picture.
Thanks Glitch It is for a 2003. I needed the information that you gave me. I was going to have the dealership do the change but after looking at it I think its going to take about an hour to do. Easy fix. I thought about welding it up and milling it down to spec. But not knowing what the casting would do kind of scares me.

It is an easy job.
Start to finish takes about 45minutes for me to do.
I've done it now for myself and others about five times now.
The last time was when we found out about the shaft size difference.
The casting is pretty sturdy, we actually tried to enlarge the hole.
It's a stepped hole, starts out one size, then steps to another.
We weren't successful, and since we were running out of time, we just used one that needed no modification, and painted the new cover with BBQ black.

IF you were still in SLC I would let you use the garage and all the tools.
The primary cover is an easy replacement.

I love the "Jug". It was a mean bitch of an airplane that didn't get the recognition it deserved.

My other favorite is:

Wart HogLow and slow? One of the hardest aircraft to shoot down now. The Air Forces backup plan for that aircraft is awesome. Dog Fights on discovery/history channel has one on the P47's and gives a very good description of what that plane was like.
Hey Glitch got pictures? did you know what you were doing to enlarge the hole. How is the clutch ramp going to work without the case holding it?
Hey thanks for the garage. Sorry I live in wichita Ks..
Hey I have a freind thats there in Bonniville now.

Sorry no pics.
It was a simple (we thought) enlarging of the hole the shift shaft goes through. Had nothing to do with the ramp.
