Is the stock can painted or coated? If it is painted, what do they use. I am getting a Micron Serpent System and I want to black out the muffler (the header will come coated black). Thanks!!

Well, mine is painted now! The stock coating (whatever it was) was completely useless against preventing rust and my muffler was more orange-brown than black. My friend Techmikeny and I spent an entire day sanding, grinding and using naval jelly to de-rust our mufflers before painting them with Rustoleum high temp black paint.
