I prefer the design of the 05 belt guards. It looks like they simplify removing th rear wheel.

Will the 05 guards fit an 03?

With a little drilling.
The guards screw in in different places on an 05.

I actually have the lower on mine, the mounting holes line up fine, but there is a gap between the back edge of the gaurs and the forward edge of the pulley, about 3/4".
