I am looking for a Deluxe Tank bag for my Uly but the price puts me off a little. I put a post up on the list to see if anyone wanted to sell a slightly used one but no takers.

Most of the non-Buell bags I have seen at dealers are magnetic which I don't want.

I think mine is a teknic. I had to notch the front of the padded base for the fuel
filler, but I already had the bag, and I like it.

Check Marsee. I carry them here at the dealership, they have some really cool stuff. They have both magnetic and quick release. Hope it helps.

I've just ordered a baglux one.

You have a tank cover which stays on the bike all the time, and the tank bag clips to it. They do about 15 different bags.

check out the web site at.

Will let you guys know what its like when i get it.

check out the cortech bags..if you have a dealer in the area. i purchased the sport saddle bags. trunk bag and good size tank bag(quick realease straps) and love the quality and fit of them all....all for under 200.00. all the bags have a heavy neoprene backing to prevent scratches. they are made by tourmaster.

Ok here's the deal, I bought a cheap generic tank bag from ebay.
1)I opened up the bottom and took out the heavy magnets.

2) It had provisions for straps so I put fastex buckles on the monts with webbing.

3) Made webbing with fastex (opposite end) and routed under the airbox cover.

The only thing I should have done was sewn in elastic to the webbing that runs under the tank cver so the fastex could "retract" when the bag is not on the bike..... which isn't very ofter. The straps do not flap around when the bag is off, even at highway speed.

I think the tank bag ruins the lines of the bike but it is just so handy to have there.

I use a Nelson-Rigg on my 12R, set up about the same as Bake. Great bag, huge (expandable) and great price. Carries most of my crap for my commute to work. Only minor complaint is the 3 strap mounting- I think it would be more stable with 2 straps in back vs the 1 it uses...
