This may seem silly, but has anyone tried to put the 04 belt guards on with the 03 belt? I know you can't put the 03 guards with the 04 belt, but since I haven't upgraded yet I was thinking maybe I could buy the guards 1 at time and start to swap them out.

All you really need is the front cover and the rear lower cover for the 2004. The top is just for looks.

You might find some folks on here that will give you the rear upper and lower for really cheap. The front is a little more $$.

I have the 04 belt guards on my otherwise stock 03 belt set up. Makes rear tire changes much easier.
