Just noticing the heat on my legs when I'm stuck in commuter hell. Has anyone tried the heat shields Odie makes, do they make any difference or just move the location that gets hot. It almost seems as if the heat is coming of of the frame, in which case, the heat shield probably won't do much for me. Any suggestions would be welcome. |

I wrapped my pipes. Initially it was to protect my fairing, but it also reduced heat to the frame. If you can get a heat shield attached to the inside of the frame, and either wrap your pipe all the way up, or get the pipe ceramic/jet-hot coated it should greatly reduce your heat issues. BTW Odie is a good guy. No worries there, he uses what he sells and backs it up 100%. |

I have both of them on my CityX and they reduce heat on your butt, but I still get that right leg burn we all know about, wrapping the pipes would solve that. BTW, I live in FL so it gets pretty hot. Ken |
