Ok long story short, went down on the left side of my Uly, and the framepuck took most of the beating. I was wondering if anyone knew a easy way to remove the frame puck so i can put a new one on. Its not that damaged, but it looks horrible. Perhaps ill take steel wool to the right side to even it out. : )

OK Froggy -

If you run into trouble, a heat gun can soften the glue. Just heat it to where it's hot to the touch - DON'T overdo it.

If it peels off without heat or some secret sauce, so much the better,

OK?

OK!

I think in the service manual it says to mark the outline of the old one before removal. This should help you align the new one. What to mark it with I don't know. Maybe a grease pencil.

Thanks for the tips, the old one was coming off pretty easy, ill use the heatgun if it gets stubborn. A pencil sounds like a good idea, ill go and try a few different things to mark it. TY again guys!

Mark the edges with masking tape. You don't have to 'erase' it then. Just run a strip next to each edge before you take the old one off.

The instructions that come with the pucks say to soak with Isopropyl Alcohol and then pull to remove. I would guess that Goof Off might work also.

WD-40 might work as well. Gotta love those citrus based solutions, they'll keep your bike smelling good for weeks.
