So I'm hitting on one, and the rear cylinder was cold to the touch. Any ideas how the @#$% I get to the plug to change it? I've got the air scoop removed and have a great shot at the front, but the rear is still buried.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Yo Silverado, You need the air box out of the way. Then you can carfuly use the end of your fingers from the top and underneath the frame to pop the plug cap off (sometimes a flat screw driver helps to get the clip off the top of the plug). Be carfull not to break the HT lead. Once you get the plug cap off use a U-joint and extender between your pug socket and ratchet as it is on a funny angle, slip it between to hole in the frame. It's fidly. Hope this makes sense.

take the seat off and get it that way.(rear plug)

I find it easier to DROP/ROTATE the motor to get them OUT, this also allows you to put the wires on EASILY also..

i use an 6 inch ext with a knuckle on it through the side on my CityX.. just a small hole, but i works for me, in and out in under 10 mins. I don't have to take any thing off except the airbox cover. I just had to do it.. fouled out my rear cylinder. Didn't think you could foul a NGK, but you can...new plugs on the way.

indeed, a universal socket, a socket, extension (or two), ratchet.

Remove seat, and airbox (airbox base makes it even easier (added light / visibility) )

Use a wobble extension and go through the access hole just under the upper shock mount. You have to remove the seat and the outer air box cover. Once you get it loose, use a piece of 3/8" fuel hose on the plug terminal to spin it the rest of the way out. This also helps when installing the new one to get it started. Be very careful, at that angle it is VERY easy to cross thread the plug.

Once you get the plug loose use a piece of rubber hose to slip over the plug tip. then just twist the hose !
