An update on the aftermath of my accident a couple weeks ago.
* Retained an attorney to pursue compensation from the cage driver's liability policy. Was told I could probably expect $10K-$20KMy
* 1 week old XB12Scg was finally totaled today & insurance co is giving me full retail due to being a 1 week old 07.
* Ribs are getting better, still a lot of swelling in my foot & ankle. Have pain in my shin due to hematoma. Back off of work for a few days to ice the leg.
* Put a deposit on a new 07 Valencia Orange XB12Scg. Nobody has any black ones, local dealer has no more Scg's coming in near future. I have a Drummer, Streetfighter seat & CRG bar end mirrors here waiting on new ride.

Thanks to the several folks who emailed me with kind words and offers of help. It meant a lot.

Keith

Thanks - I'm not really down, just bored and impatient. We're going up tomorrow to pick the bike up. I'll get the dealer to load it into our truck and get someone to help unloaded it back at the house.

Replacement helmet came today and I have a care package coming from Dave next week.

A friend had his brand new GSXR600 stolen after owning it for 9 days. His insurance screwed him big time and gave him used book value minus the deductable. This of course didn't include tax, fees and setup, so he ended up owning $3000 on a bike that he barely got a chance to ride.

They caught the thief. The guy was in his late 20's. They found him in possesion of another stolen bike with my friend's plates on it. He got almost no jail time (I think less then 3 months).
