There are about 4 to 5 Buell Dealers on the I-4 corridor as well as Space Coast HD/Buell on I-95, Seminole HD/Buell, Lakeland HD/Buell, Brandon Buel, Tampa HD/Buell and Jim's in St.Pete, call all of them it's only about 150 miles from St. Pete to Daytona, total. all on BUELL's website, but daytona should be able to look on their parts computer to see any HD dealer in the country that has it. GOOD LUCK, worse places to be stuck than Daytona. |

U-Haul?? I'd BET he'd want to get home and wrench there... But, it may never be a good idea to try and tell ANY partner anything about solving problems, I've tried. (Message edited by CURTYD on August 07, 2006) |

nah, he's cool like that..but if he has to, they can trailer it down for him..can't work on it if there's no part though...hopefully something will come through..luckily we're only 3.5 hours from daytona anyway.. |

Aren't these tubes plastic, er, I mean "space age composite material" on XB's? Sounds like a job for JB Weld, depending, of course, on how badly it's cracked. I bought some two part "putty" epoxy to repair a plastic gas tank at an auto parts store a few weeks ago that might even work better. If he can see the crack and get it thoroughly clean, V it out with a file and/or sandpaper, he can probably make a good enough repair to get home. Might be a lot easier than trying to change out the tube in a parking lot somewhere. |

I have the 4 minute J B Weld and a cold beer if he wants to do all that labor when he gets home, instead of up here. Unless they changed policies they probably won't let him repair it at the shop anyways. |

Should be no problem to have one tomorrow. I'd try them in the order they are listed (top to bottom - East to West). It's now 2:00PM at Walnut Creek, CA where McGuire is.
