Did you guys see the segment where they drag raced a Busa' against the new Kawasaki ZX-14. The ZX-14 won in the best two of out three. Just thought someone might have seen it and have a comment on it. I'm not a big fan of those bikes though.

Check out the new issue of Cycle World Magazine! There is a very good comparison of the Hayabusa and the ZX14 Kawi. Overall the new Kawi is the fastest production motorcycle ever made to date. 0 to 60mph in like 2.6 seconds with a top end speed of 186mph (with more to go, dang rev limiter) I think it says.

I saw that show. Those extended swing arms would be nice for dragging but on PA twisty roads they would be like hauling a horse trailer.

Quarter MILE speed of 186? Umm, no..

My nephew has a built 'busa that runs in the mid 8 second range in the quarter. And he doesn't have anywhere near a trap speed of 186.

you guys might want to reread the post you're replying to. no one said the bike finished the 1/4 at 186. he said the bike can go 186 which i don't doubt at all.

Suzuki is Rumored to have the ultimate king due to be released. The busa really is a unchanged bike since '99. Since all bikes are mandated to not go beyond 186 mph its now a HP and QTR mile showdown of who is king. I think Suzuki will dominate again.

Both of those bikes stock are ugly as sin. I'd much rather have the new R6 or R1 myself.

yeah those R1's that were stretched/lowered looked wicked as well...don't see those much.

I think it's pretty impressive the busa kept up with the zx-14, given the size of the engines, the busa has a smaller engine size I believe. zx-14 only won the last race by .01 seconds!

No they're not.
One is as ugly as a bucket full of smashed a$$holes, while the other is as ugly as a basket of dog's balls.
