Just got my 06 Firebolt and got the idea to replace the white airbox letters with the black from an 07'. I know there have been several posts about removing them but what about putting them back on? After using goo gone to remove the old residue what would I need to prep the cover to promote good adhesion of the new lettering? Is there a way to remove the old ones without causing scratches? I would prefer not to scratch up the new ride . |

the letters should peel up pretty easily, being thick vinyl. wd40 or rubbing alcohol should help remove any adhesive left. clean the area well with rubbing alcohol and allow to dry before putting on the new letters. This will remove any wax residue. Should be pretty easy to put them on, use some blue painters tape to help with alignment because the letters are a 1 shot deal. |

DaveS will be glad to be of service I'm sure. The parts manuals have the part numbers for the air box "decals" |
