I have a heat shield under my inner airbox..

Has anyone used heat mat to keep the heat from creeping back up into box..

I notice a lot of the heat is coming up from the rear head where there is a gap in the frame..

Thought about painting the inner airbox inside and out with the trailer roofing insulating paint.. filling all the gaps with mat...

block the hole through the frame and remove the black plastic piece around the fuel filler
to allow colder air into the air box, or cut a couple of holes between the Buell "L's"
and the frame kind of like the ones that come on the aftermarket airbox covers.

That should lower the temperature inside the airbox.

Open airbox kit if you're that worried about it.. and run it like.. who is it... with the black R with no airbox, looks mean.

Hmmmmm...

Would the translucid airboxes heat up more due to a "greenhouse" effect???
