I posted this on the BB&D page, but thought all XBers should know. I was riding yesterday 400+ miles from home and had the front spark plug blow out of the head. My Ulysses has 3500 miles on it, plugs have never been taken out by me or a service tech. Looks like it was cross threaded from the factory, jammed a little more than half way in. The plug took out about the top 3/4 of the threads, luckily there was still 1/4 left, so I was able to screw it back in and limp home. Now, time to deal with warranty work. Let's see how buell stands behind their work.

Had the same thing happen recently with a low mileage '01 Blast. Girlfriend complained that it wouldn'e idle. I figured the plug was wet/dirty. It was sooooo loose that a few more miles and it too would have blown out of the head! Never had that happen before in 35 years of riding!

Thanks, fortunately, mine's still under warranty. After the first call to the dealer, I'm pretty sure they're going to replace the head. So far, so good! I take it in next week, I'll keep everyone posted.

had the same thing happen on mine and the dealer said Buell would not warranty it so now I'm stuck buying a new head. I called customer service and they said it was a maintaince issue and they cant cover it that the dealer who did the 5k service must have left it loose and they needed to fix it the dealer said they never replaced the plugs so sorry no luck here either
