I'm a new member here and new to buell this year and just wanted to share my opinion a recent long ride on my xb. I did do a lot of research before i left from New Hampshire to the Black hills South Dakota 5000 miles total, mostly on this site, and found almost everything to be useful. Here is wait i found from being on the rode for two weeks straight on a buell.

First my body, i was much more comfortable than i anticipated. No major back pain, my wrist took a beating but the throttle mister cruise control set up from American Sport bike was a life saver, my legs were often cramped and sore by the end of the day but nothing unmanagable.

Second the bike ran like champ. Rode threw every type of weather possible including hail. I would keep the bike at 4000 rpm for 130 miles straight at least 3-4 times a day and it ran strong. Pirelli Diablo Stradas did very well also. It made me a buell believer. Only a couple of problem. Plug wire rattled partially loose ran on one cylinder till it was fixed and had a few minor engine sputters in the rain.

Third a couple of days of 550 miles a day will made you brain dead by the end of the day.

Fourth if you have a D&D exhaust and you forget to wear ear plugs all day you will be deaf by the end of the day!!

Finally I love my buell, i ran it into the ground and it did more than i expected

By Homecoming do you mean Sturgis? I won't be going out for that. I got to ride the area with almost no traffic i had a blast in the twistes in the black hills. It's more about the riding not the party for me
