Is it true if we buy from americansportbike.com we get a 10% discount? I was looking at Micron on ebay and its $750 shipped, but it would only be $720 with the discount from americansportbike.com Anyone help please, Thanks, Bradley

Brad,
We normally get the discount from all sponsors on here but you really should speak with them directly it may not apply to all sponsors or all parts.

Too bad local dealers dont give a 10% discount, they are missing alot of business if you ask me. Hell some dealers that support Brag groups only give a one time 10% discount....suckage if you ask me.

Go to the American Sport Bike section of the sponsor page and you can ask directly.

I'm not sure American Sport Bike does that but I'd buy at MSRP from Al before I'd buy most places. When you buy from Al you get access to great tech info and the comfort of knowing he stands behind everything he sells.

Just plain good value.

I can't speak American Sport Bike but I was told they don't offer any discounts when I asked about it. The prices were fair and the service good.

The technical support, free advice, and considerable Buell related wisdom that Al Lighton provides here is a good thing.

Just like everyone else has said, I'm not sure if that applies to American Sport Bike. Go in to his sponsor page and send him a PM. I do however know that the 10% is offered through Dave at Appleton HD.

>>>The prices were fair and the service good.

That's an incredibly accurate statement. I buy silly stuff from Al, that I could pick up 2 blocks from the house, just to get a chance to talk to him and his wife.

Good people, good business.

We don't have a blanket discount program (i.e., Badweb, military, etc). That said, we can and often do apply some discounts, depending upon order size and content, and I think we're fair about things. Parts that are American Sport Bike parts (i.e., Carbon fiber parts) have a bit more room to move since we are both the distributor and the retailer. OEM parts have virtually no room to move, as we get them from the dealer and have to pay their markup. On larger orders, we'll pick up the shipping, or include a free T-shirt, or whatever makes sense based on order content, size, and customer status (i.e., longtime returning customer with a large order history, first time customer, etc). We do what we can, but we don't claim to be a price matching vendor or the cheapest source. We know the parts, we know what works and what doesn't, and we help folks with issues before and after the sale. There are web sources that have some Buell parts and sell them cheaper. But most don't have the product variety, don't know the parts, don't know the applications, and can't help when things don't go as planned. Whether that is worth anything to you or not is something only you can decide.

I don't discount the Micron pipe directly, but if purchased as part of a package deal (i.e. mapping and key, open air box, etc), I discount the package. There are some installation tricks/tips that aren't included in the Micron instructions that I discuss with the customer. It's not as easy as a slip-on, but is doable by a reasonably mechanically inclined person with few special tools.

Thanks (especially you, Court : ) )
Al
