I've an appointment at SMHD for Monday next week. Seems I'm leaking oil in the area of my drive sprocket and it's getting on my belt and rear wheel. A little bit, not too bad. Does anyone know if there's supposed to be a little cover over the final driveshaft and that might be what's allowing the juice out? Mine doesn't have a cover and it looks as though that's where it's coming from. Hopefully it's just a little fix.

Agreed, no cover, definitely a seal.

Happened to me too... Have you ever dropped it into first w/o using the clutch?

They had mine fixed in about 45 minutes and didn't even have to drain the fluid.

M1- That's some seriously good news, thanks. I don't think I've ever dropped it into 1st without the clutch...I have had the sprocket replaced under warranty though. I was thinking it had something to do with that.

Which sprocket, the front one? Did it leak before you had that done? Didn't the offer to replace the missing cover?

Yes, the front drive sprocket. It didn't start leaking until last week, which was 6 months after they replaced the sprocket. And about 3000 miles. The whole gist of my question was, "Is there a cover?" It looks like there's a cover in the manual. I don't know if I ever had one. I'll know Monday. I'm still riding. It's not a catastrophic leak. It's just making my back wheel and swingarm a little gross.
