Almost done and this Direct Link SW is amazing. We hit 93RWHP during WOT pulls, but got 72RWHP during the 1/2 throttle pulls. Just a little work left on the part throttle for the rear cylinder then a final check and I will forward the run to Al for posting under his American Sport Bike Banner. ... Terry

PS Then it becomes a 1208cc Rev Perf Big Bore and I get to start all over. ... TP

You can find the software and mapping tool on the American Sport Bike website. I tried to post the URL but it was too long. Try looking on the American Sport Bike forum under "Sponsor information, news, and cool stuff" page.

Terry, I'm anxiously awaiting the graphs from the XB9! When you say 93rwhp, is that adjusted at all, or just raw rwhp?

It is $348 for the SW, which includes one key that will tune exactly 1 ECM.

If you have the same combination of stuff on your bike as the map was developed for, you don't NEED to buy the SW, we can push a map in for you. We're still working out the details of how to best do this. To start with, it would involve sending your ECM. I'm trying to figure out if we can institute a core exchange program that would work.

See http://www.americansportbike.com/shop/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?usr=51F745099&rnd=43211 56&rrc=N&affl=&cip=71.136.91.145&act=&aff=&pg=prod&ref=9308&cat=&catstr=HOME

Pricing should be up tomorrow, after I load the "final" version and do a few tests.

Al

Keep up the great work you guys... Thanks a million.

Al... You've made GREAT progress in getting a proper tuning device to market. The entire Buell community owes you a HUGE thanks. I'll buy the Margaritas next time : ).

Excellent work, fellas!

i would be in line instantly for a mapped ECM for a 12/open airbox/K&N/Drummer setup. get the damn TFI outta my hair for good! core exchange would rock, but would you test for 'bad' ECMs? is that still happening these days? i remember reading about a few bunk ones popping up now and then.

I can do basic functionality testing of the ECMs. If I do a core program, it would have a fee of sorts, where the core charge would be X, and the refund would be X-$10 (or some such thing). Hopefully, the occasional defective ECM that someone screws me with would be rare, and the few bucks I make off each other one would offset my occasional losses from defects. Still figuring it all out, but that seems to make the most sense given the risk on electrical parts.

Not sure when we'll get a drummer mapped. We're not a dealer for drummers (not for lack of trying), so I don't have one mounted on a bike. It'll come, either through us, Dave, or maybe even Kevin himself through Tilleys.

DirectLink testing is "done" (SW testing is NEVER done), it works, the bugs I'm aware of are fixed and it is working as it is supposed to, so I can sell it in good conscience. Still doesn't talk to an 05XB9 stock ECM yet, but it will as soon as I get one to hook up to the SW to extract the config ID. The SW can now be ordered on our website at http://www.americansportbike.com/shop/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?usr=51F745099&rnd=17409 43&rrc=N&affl=&cip=71.136.91.145&act=&aff=&pg=prod&ref=9308&cat=&catstr=

FINALLY!!!!

Al

A Day in the Dyno Room?

Very close to being done with the XB9 just two or three more pulls at 48% throttle and a final 100% pull to post. ... But it keeps getting leaner and leaner as I keep adding more and more fuel in five specific cells??? What's Going On?

Call Al to listen to him tell me what I already know, but he also tells me there will be another SW revision this evening. So I decide to pull it off do the SW update and get a fresh start in the morning. But as I am picking up my stuff I see my 100 octane gas can and remember it's a 03 with the old pump. The reserve light is not on, but I have been running this thing for four days now and have never topped off the gas.

Any body want to bet I will be pulling fuel out of those same cells!!! ... God This is Fun. ... Terry

Al, I have a spare stock ECM for a 05 XB9SX. Let me know if you want to use it for your testing.
