Hello all: Just put the Select seat on my XB12S last night and took it for a short jaunt around the neighborhood. I am LIKING that seat. Gives a lot more support and just feels better. I think I can go farther than 100 miles, now!

The colored ones look a little different from the black. Is it the same?
Was it worth the price?
Pics would be good.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Looks like someone else posted a picture. My '05 is thrust blue, but I stayed with the black seat. I actually got the seat for $169 bucks, and it is WELL WORTH it! I haven't measured it, but it feels about the same as far as height. Looking forward to a longer ride on it!

I have had my red select seat on my 12S for about a month, and I love it. I've put a couple of 400+ mile days on the seat and I was still able to walk the next day.

Dj.....Long story and I will have to do them again. Friend of a friend did a shiotty job and it is coming off close to the head. I will have them redone as soon as I decide to rotate the engine again. Millers Powder Coating here in Atlanta will Ceramic coat them when I take them off again. $75... 1 week turn around.

I have the streetfighter seat, and it really annoys me how it moves side-to-side near the front. Does the select do that as well? Anyone have any ideas on how to make it fit more securely?

Mono...my select is pretty solid. You should somehow add material to the "tab" that clips into the front. This might help with the motion. Just a thought.

About the seat sliding, dito what Black_Sunshine said.
Mine (select) is very solid as well.
Excluding the new tires, the select seat is the best thing I ever added to my bike.

Does anyone have passenger feedback on the select seat?

I just rec'd my Select from Daves yesterday! It is by FAR the best ASSett (pun intended) on my bike. The construction appears way more sturdy and professional than my stock seat. It fits much better, no wiggle and the lines match up much better. Passenger: my girl has quite a bit more room than on the stock seat. The gel is super comfy, hope it hold up with time...especially in the cold weather. the channel down the center does not bother my girl but she is SUPER skinny.....

Well, my 12S with the red select seat was a great ride. Passengers said that the pillion area was surprisingly more comfortable than it looked! But, alas, I rode a Ulysses and the 12s was used as a down payment for my new ride, and I forgot to take a picture of it.
