I stroll into the dealership yesterday to pick up the V-Rod for its 10k service. New front tire, misc gaskets replaced, oil changed, various and sundry things tightened, oh and $726.00 poorer. So while the dude was bringing out the V-rod I went over to check on the Buell and to get a status of the parts.

This is week 2 so the parts should be in and the on the bike by the end of the week. The salesman suggested I take it out for a ride. I thought, well, it is mine and all tagged so sure.

Ahhhh, what a ride. I did have to take it easy for the break in period but what a ride. I was surprised how comfortable it was over bumps and these bad streets here in DC compared to the Yamaha FZ1...which I thought was a bit soft.

After 2 hours I was hooked again.

I jumped on the V-rod to salvage the rest of the day. The bike felt better than new so I rode up to Baltimore for dinner. Back home, then rode down to the National Mall to see how long the line was to view Rosa Parks in the Capitol. Well, it was very long. It took me 45 minutes just to find the end.

I didn't go in, but I was there in spirit.

But getting back to the Buell, I can't wait to really ride it like I stole it.
