I ride my 12R to work most days. I saw another rider on a Jap 600.(Don't remember which model, Suzuki GXR I believe. He had an intigrated tail light with the turn signals made in, all led. The tail light looked cool so I pulled up beside him at the offramp light. He said it was from clear alternatives, like I said looked cool to me and plenty bright too. We had to sit thru a couple of lights so we talked for a minute. One of the first things he mentioned after he looked at my bike was,"I'm going to get my wheels powder coated too" Didn't want to be smart and tell him mine came stock that way, hehe... I've had that comment many times, that the amber windscreen and wheels really set the bike off, and I have to agree... : )
Thanks Buell, no extra powder coating or painting required...

I heard the power coating chips off after getting your new tires changed? Lots of owners have complained about this. Are your wheels chipping at all?

Yes they can, and many have. But it's not Buell's fault, it's the lack of care, concern, and proper method on the tire changers part.

Yea, I've got a couple of small chips missing but like Unibear said, it looks like where the tools where placed when the tires were mounted...
The first time that is, I went to a different shop to install the last rear tire...

I really liked the amber wheels when I first got my bolt, but I'm growing tired of them. They are cool, but I think I'm going to get mine dipped in chrome this winte and switch to a black windscreen.
