I have the blue/silver 03 XB9R, and I want to do something to the rims... I thought about getting them chromed, but then since nothing else is chrome, I desided against that. But a friend of mine just powder coated all the front end parts on his Arctic Cat F7 snow mobile... and it looks awesome. He told me that the guy he goes to can do a nice annodized blue on my rims. I am considering that now... I was wondering if anyone else has done that... and if so, how did it work out for you. |

I have the 03 9S,(same rims though), I had mine powder coated black. The only suggestion I can make is- make sure to to check and talk to the person who will actually do the work. Not Joe nobody at the desk who says it can be done easily. After the company had to replace my front rim because of too much powder being applied, all was well. Been on there for 2 1/2 years now, and still looks just as good. That is when I decide to breakdown and wash the bike, but I prefer to ride. |
