After checking out some websites and cycletrader, looks like the 12S has not hit the dealers yet. Anyone got an insight as to when they might start showing up? I'm talking about the good 'ol fashon XB regular. Not long, short or Uly.

They are indeed out... Danbury HD had a few on the floor during Buell day. Nice fit.. you can really notice the new width of the frame. Now all I have to do is ride one.

The standard '06 XBS does not have the wider frame Hammer, that is the Ss or Lighting Long. When you see a standard S just look at the swingarm. If its the new design, and it has the short seat length, then that is the '06 model. They are out, just some shops still have plenty of '05's left.

It looks like all of the 06's have the new swingarm. It's just that the S, R, CX and the L's swingarm's are the same length, whereas the X and SS have an extended swingarm. Same style swingarm though.

That is correct Don, which means they are '06 models and not '05's left on the floor...

None yet.

It would be more helpful if you fill in your profile so we know where you are. That way when we look this stuff up, we know where to look.

It looked like Chandler HD had 1 of the new 12S models in when I was over there...

If they did, they sold it.
None show up on the locator.

I've seen a 12S amber(? like the pic above) AND a black 12Ss on the road... both registered and everything... and I wondered to myself, where the hell did they get them? But I have yet to see a Uly, anywhere... but in pics.

I saw 1 12S and 1 12Ss at Manchester HD/Buell (NH). That's it... so they're out there. Some places got 'em before others. I was told Meredith got 1 Uly. Should be setup for the weekend... Sounds like a roadtrip is in order and it might take a roadtrip to see some of these new bikes if your not willing to wait.

Yes. I am going (more) mental waiting to see a XB12X up close. It really sound like the "right tool for the job".
The Uly is the real reason that I haunt the XB boards : )

There's a Uly and a XB long at the dealer near my work. But no XB12S.

Tunes, some states allow you to transfer your plates to the new bike upon purchase.

Wyckedflesh... You were joking, right? I was wonderin' where they got the BIKES, not the registration plates... Good one though!! In NH, registering a vehicle is cake...

They've been hitting showrooms, just not hanging around long.
