Just finished putting the bike back together.
Odie at Special O.P.S. and fellow 3%er chopped the Cheese Grater for me and I must say, the man does outstanding work. Always a pleasure doing business with ya.

SilverBullet another 3%er painted the Subframe and tail as well.

You guys Rock!

B_S,
I’ve been thinking about painting my subframe black. Is that powder coating? Can you share any info on the color code? How does it match the plastics?

Cowtown.....It's painted. You'll have to ask SilverBullet in the Storm Fronts section under 3% Bragging Rights Club. He painted it for me. It matches the plastic perfectly.

B_S...
How difficult was is to remove the subframes?

You know how I do...I just masked mine off and painted them while on the bike.

Stealth.....45 mins tops. Takes longer to take out the tail than the subframe. It only held on by 4 bolts. Now does that make you feel better that your only held on the bike with 4 bolts the diameter of a pencil?

Like I didn't have enough to worry about thinking that my head is only held on by my spine!!

Looks sharp Mr. Sunshine! Bet it would look even cooler with a carbon fiber under seat pan! Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

The HD technician flipped it forward when a car pulled out in front of him. He broke his shoulder, the bike was totaled with only 547 miles on it and I got a brand new black bike.

Rick.....not to burst your bubble but one of our boys (3%er) got the Rizoma tail and he said it fit like crap and wished he would of done something else. Go with Odie @ Special O.P.S.. He mods the stock piece so it fits perfect. I know he has one because I sent him my core exchange. Pretty inexpensive to boot.

Rick, I'm the 3%er that got the Rizoma that Black_sunshine was speaking of. I had to wait forever to get it. It wasnt really what i expected. If you want it, I will sell it cheap. I have a little trick up my sleeve for the stocker. If i wasnt so particular about my bike, I really wouldnt have anything bad to say. I guess as with alot of things, the aftermarket just isnt always perfect.

Cowtown,
Flipped it up or flipped it over? It would take a pretty big impact to break that. What exactly happened?

When the car pulled out the technician grabbed a handful a brake creating a stoppie that didn’t stop. FYI, this tech has a XB12R.
