I've seen several sets of factory buell heel guards on ebay with a rough textured black paint. Rather than buy, what do you guys think about sandblasting and painting the factory heel guard. Possible? Not possible? Any thoughts are appreciated. I would like to go with a blacked out look on my bike, think "stealth" Thanks....

H-D dealers sell the black textured engine paint and it holds up well if you decide to paint, the dark XB12 frame paint works well also and makes the guards visually disappear into the frame.

I've been thinking of having my pegs anodized. I've check around and it doesn't seem too expensive.

I also, found this link: http://www.soetengadesign.com/images/Amber-drive-sprocket-full.jpg

These seem pretty interesting. Does anyone have any experience with these?

Thanks,
gS

That soetenga stuff looks incredible. Both products list for $112.00, that's high, but they do look like they are high quality!

I polished one of my heel guards. I have not had the chance to polish the other one. I hand polished it. I started with 400 grit then progressed to 800 and finally 1000. After all that some mothers polish and then MIRROR. I am happy with the results.
