Author Message   Doitindark Posted on Monday, June 20, 2005 - 02:09 pm:        I've read lots and lots of posts on the chain conversion, but I still have questions. My bolt is track only, and I would like a way to change the gearing of my bike. I don't have lots of $$ to spend on the conversions that Hal's and racingmotorcycles is selling. Is there a way of just getting the chain and sprockets etc.. that I need and doing it cheep? Has anyone done it this way? I don't have a race license, do I need one for the discount? Right now I'm just doing track days. I have a pic on my website of the side view, but if anyone is interested I can email full quality photos of different angles, drop me a line. Whether you race or do track days the chain drive has its advantages, its easier to get a spare chain from a track side vendor then trying to locate a belt. Also the bike has been set up with an aggressive geometry, the Trojan kit does not alter the wheelbase and retains the rigidity of the stock swing arm. The big one is having the ability to change ratios.
