Could the chain be any more rusted?

Great bike! But I tend to disagree about the thread title- even with the leak, having disc brakes reclassifies it into the 'mid-' school category! ("We don't need no steenkin' brakes"; ) Of course if you are wondering where all the old pan and knuck choppers went, they were all ran into stuff cause they wouldn't freakin' stop!

Kate - those appear to be your basic 'drag bars', available at most aftermarket bike shops. Straight piece of pipe w/ 2 slight bends. Very much 'Old School' and makes for good control of the bike.

I was using baking sheets for drip pans back in 'the day' because I needed to catch drips from a much wider area- tranny, motor cases, cam cover, carb ("don't smoke in my garage-ya wanna kill us all?"; ) I swear- the old loose-bearing wheel hubs leaked too!
