Took my Jardine apart today, looked like your typical potato chip bag; half full! This thing should still be full after only about 1500 miles right? And where can I get this stuff, local auto parts stores don't stock it

Any local dirt bike shop should carry packing. I think I paid about 10 bucks for it last I got it.

Call Kevin - He uses a certain kind of fiberglass in the Drummers. He told me that the cheap stuff blows out too fast. I have a little piece here on my desk. Its greenish in color but I can't remember exactly what it is or where he gets it.

Well I found some soft white stuff at my local cycle shop for $18. I packed it all into my can and it sounds just the same.
I W-I-L-L find a way to stop the ringing in my ears from this can.

My Drummer is louder then either the stock or race cans that I had, but its a kind of deeper tone that sounds right to me and definitely doesn't make my ears ring. I do wear a full Shoei though.

I'm pretty sure that the soft white stuff is what doesn't last long.

I've got a pretty new Jardine. About 500 miles or so on it. What is this packing you guys are talking about? Is this something that wears out? Thanks all.

Jerseyguy: that's what I thought too when I first installed my Jardine, until I'm cruising the interstate at 75+ mph. That's when I get that "pulsing ring" from each exhaust bang. I can't be the only one that has this problem?
Any sound specialist out there have some input?

The packing is what muffles some sound. It's a soft fiberglass between the inner tube and outer casing. It typically lasts a few thousand miles before you need to open it up and add some packing.
