Not sure on the damper but I was told by a dealer it takes 3 hours to install the race kit,there rate was about $65 an hour, but this will very by location. I installed my own{autotech by day} in about an hour. then took it back to have them reset the T.P.S.

If you can do it install it yourself. Why you ask

1. It will let you get to no your bike a little better.
2. Keep your wallet a little bigger!

I'm a new Buell owner. I installed my "race kit" in less than 1 hour. I brought the bike in to the local dealer and had them reset my TPS, it took him 10 minutes and they charged me $18.

The steering damper shouldn't take you more than 1 hour.
