What do you guys use to set the idle speed?
Do you just go by the tach reading? Or do you guys use some kind of tool or electronic measuring device? Thanks all.

I have to bump mine up every 500 miles or so. I just get the bike up to normal operating temp and tweak the know till it looks right on the tach.

Hehheh. he said "tweak the knob".

The tach & an allen wrench has always been good enough for me. Try to nail it to 1050 after bike is warmed up. Ride & recheck a few times.

I once rode through some twisties in a much faster than normal time....having a great time...only to find my idle stuck at 3000 at the end because I didn't double check it with a short test ride!
That's not the way to find out your better than what you think... sort of.
