Hi all, been a long time since I've posted on here! I'm fine, but sore. Last weekend I managed to hit a 4" mailbox post at 50mph, instead of the open road, or the open field to the right, I managed to precisely hit the 4" post holding a mailbox. This shoved the front wheel back into the cooler, split the head of the front sub frame, and blew the fairing/cluster down the road. How did I manage this extremely accurate feat? I looked back at my rear tire, because I felt a funny vibration. I broke the cardinal rule "watch where you're going, not where you've been". Unfortunately my 'R paid the price for my lapse in judgement. A. I've cancelled my Ohio Registration for License Plate "1125R" (I've had it for quite a few years) and expect it will go up as available in a few weeks (however long the State takes to figure that out). B. I will have some parts for 1125/XBs going up on a sale post in a week or so. I had a bunch of new take-offs from the Magpul RONIN project, as well as some take offs from my bike. I'm waiting to see if it totals (if it doesn't, I'll have more parts available, including an engine with 12K on it). Hopefully somebody can snag that plate when it goes up! I'll put a quick note on this thread when I put up my parts (I have a bunch (including NEW Red body work)). Ride safe, watch where you're going, and watch for those pesky mailboxes  }} | ||

Good that you are OK after the incident. I looked at your profile. On your 1125R, what is the "Air Box modification"? Other - thanks for the reminder of what not to do when riding. | ||

Thanks Squish. The Air Box "Modification" is more of a "Delete". The inner plastic air box cover has been removed to allow more airflow into the filter under the outer air box cover. No idea if this actually accomplishes anything performance wise. But it does sound pretty cool if you're just putting around and listen to it (you can hear it suck in air if you blip the throttle). | ||
