It looks like I may need to replace my rear brake light switch. It screws into the master cylinder. Is it a pressure switch, and if so will I need to bleed the system after replacing it?
In other words, will I let air into the master cylinder when I remove the switch?

Got it. Thank you.
Follow-up question for anyone who has replaced the switch. Will fluid weep out when you remove the switch? Is it better to empty the reservoir/cylinder first? I hate to have brake fluid dripping everywhere.

Yes it will pretty much pour out. I recommended draining it and having water ready to rinse off any brake fluid that spills on painted surfaces. And yes you’ll need to bleed it afterwards.
