Haven't done the GP kit, but I truly think adding a quick shifter is the best mod I've done to any of my bikes

For $200, the Quickshifter is one of the best mods period.

I am still getting used to it after so many years of using the clutch. I have to remind myself to NOT rolloff during upshifts. And I have caught a few false neutrals in the higher gears, mainly due to lower RPM and uncrisp shifting on my part.

And I found a more sensitive setting on the QS works best for me....meaning having any unintended contact with the shifter will cause the motor to cutout. This would be bad at high lean angles as it definitely unsettles the bike big time. Thankfully, this unintended contact with the shifter happens when I am touring home from the foothills, so while it's startling (especially the FIRST time it happens) it's not really unsafe.

But I will tell you. Getting into a tuck and banging thru the gears at WOT is just plain awesome...just make sure you pick the appropriate spots to do so.

Like the 1125R, the quickshifter works best when you are riding hard.

why, yes I did.
and, no. not off-hand. it's the same idea as the precision engineering one, just it looks like a 3 year old traced out the template
