I was doing some maintenance n the bike today and I noticed this thing that is held into place by a bracket as part of the lower air box assembly.

Not sure what it is, but nothing was attached the connection with the green o-ring.

Okay, thanks.

Just seemed really odd to just be sitting out there with nothing attached to it.

Any recommended mods to the bike? its a 2008 if that matters.

I just picked it up a few months ago and am going to clean the throttle body butterflies like the other post using seafoam spray and see if that cures my low speed hiccup.

Thanks again

Yours is fitted upside down however. The cable connector goes in to that clip.

Thanks for the info about being installed incorrectly...I'll be back in there next week when I change out the air filter.

Upaero - thanks for the link, but have one new question now....what does it mean to remove the solenoid? I will try to do a search later today, but if someone has the link already that would be great.

Thanks again
Jeremy}
