This is the second relay that I have had to replace. It is the black Tyco high current relay under the seat. The first time I didn't have head lights, now it will just click. I swapped it out with one of the grey relays and now I can start the bike. What gives. I am good with electrical, I know how this is supposed to work. This relay serves a dual purpose. When at rest the contacts are closed and power flows through 87a and 30. When the starter button is pressed it opens the contact and connects 87 and 30 interrupting power to that circuit momentarily during the start cycle(I gather this is why the headlight cuts out during crank.

No Hid or anything of that nature. I want to say its in my harness. Took the back off of the relay box, and the wire that the starter switch sends to the relay doesn't get a good 12 volts. It will gradually increase voltage as I hold down the switch. So switch or wiring harness. The search continues
