Hey all. I want to install a Fram Sure Drain on the bike, but want to order the part before I drain my oil. Does anyone know what thread pitch and diameter the main drain plug is so that I can look up the right part? | ||

The Frams are cheap because they've been discontinued, but they don't make an M12x1.5. http://www.oildrainvalve.net/ does though. I'm not as concerned about the right side drain plug because it doesn't shoot everywhere like the left plug does, but at the same time, I'm not sure that I want to lose the plug magnet on the left side... Does the left plug shoot out as much if you drain the right side first? Maybe a valve on the right side would drain it enough to make the left side more clean and it would keep the magnet in place. Perhaps that's the solution to my problem. Has anyone installed a magnet inside of the filter? | ||

I have always considered anything protruding out further than necessary on a bike to be a very bad idea - if something strikes one of those it could trash the cases ... | ||

if you trash one of those (stahlbus), the case is your smallest problem... |
