So I recently fixed the biggest eyesore on our bikes. Getting rid of those ugly stock oil lines. It is such a huge improvement to the look of our already awesome bikes. The right side has the beautiful huge brake to stare at, why not jazz up the left side with some more eye candy. I am wanting to start selling this option as a kit for people that want a quick easy hop up. Here are some pictures and more details below. Before:     The Kit:  After:       It is a good idea to do the swap while you are changing the oil, that's what I did. It is a complete kit that is really easy to install and uses high end racing components. If you can change your oil, you can replace these lines. I will ship the kit to any of the 48 states for $180. nice, looks good, tested them a while? the price is high, i would buy them if someone could see them on my machines, but they both either have a belly-pan or a fairing. anyway, the biggest eyesore on your machine, which is really nice, are the rear-view mirrors. they are so damn ugly, i still can't believe it, they put those on, OEM. | ||

Very neat. Is this a kit you are making up, or did you order the parts? I only ask because my stuff has a lot of service on it, and I half expect it to fail eventually... | ||

Cherry Bomb: Thanks for the compliment. The price isn't high if you know how much AN fittings and hose are. This isn't a huge money making product, it's just something that I can pump out for other people that don't want to have to figure it out themselves. Also the mirrors aren't the best looking but I like the dual function of them. Duphuckincati: I have always loved your screen name. My bike is going into the shop for new wheels and tires on tuesday thanks to a shoebox size rock in the freeway that I tagged. The tires still held air so I kept riding and waited too long to order tires that were backordered. Side note, 1125cr wheels for sale with slight flat spots. Jdugger: It is a kit that I am making up. I get everything separate and assemble the lines and modify the adapters to fit our bikes. I too expect everything to possibly fail and I can promise you that these lines will last longer than the stock ones. The hose are rated up to 250 PSI (our bikes might do 80 PSI max), the fittings are all lightweight anodized aluminum and are the same parts that are on countless $100k+ cars. But if there were ever and issue with any single component they are all easily replaceable individually. Figorvonbeullingham: I understand that there are people that can do this on their own but there are people that don't have the time or experience to do something like this. I build race cars for a living and work with AN line and fittings all the time so I just wanted to offer this to a more novice wrencher. Summit Racing has great deals on this type of stuff, bought tons from them plumbing the turbo bikes. | ||

I followed Captain_ America’s thread when I did my lines, but I didn’t punch out the reducers as he did (didn’t want to weaken the fitting) I was also looking for a little show so I got the polished/red anodized fittings listed below. I almost wish I would have been a bit more subtle and went with black on black. Please don't take this negatively, it isn't meant that way: - braided line is definitely cool looking - did you lose the quick disconnect feature then? - did you consider just painting the stock ones black? | ||

Here are pictures using the above listed Jegs part numbers, and removing the stator cover is easy with only having to rotate the one 90 degree fitting, no mess or oil drips. Sorry for the poor image quality.   |
