Hi Jossi. My bike had the waterpump leak after only 300 Km, and was covered by warranty. Workshop told me it was a 10 hour job, so I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it.

I think it is a known issue. Some of the 1125's I have seen show water stains running from the pump hole, but the owners may be unaware of it. Look in the archives here on Badweb. I recall some mention that in some cases the leak sealed itself after time, but my leak was quite major.

Try flushing out the cooling system & install new coolant, I had the same weep and that cured it for me.

There is a seal modification on later bikes, please ensure the stealer orders & fits the later seal, yes its a motor rotate to fit & the small hole is a 'witness hole' specifically designed to stop the leaking water entering the oil side & thus showing the owner he has a problem. Mine was done under warranty though sometimes they do seal after use (normally shows after the bike has been laid up for a while)

Looks like the water pump on my CR is leaking - and it's a 2010MY - so much for upgraded seals ...

Has anybody managed to replace the seals without rotating the motor ?
