It's the one next to the ACC fuse. They're both 10 amp. I just swamped in the ACC fuse when it happened and went on my way; fixed it when I got home.

Well mine blew the 30 amp battery fuse. Tried another fuse and it blew instantly. Unhooked all the stator connections and fuse doesnt blow so dro e it on battery home. Now I have to find the short because I just dont trust my dealer something else always screws up after they touch it. Looking for video to bypass harness

Ok its something on the regulator wiring, the black and red wire, I can plug the stator in, bypassing the recall harness, fuse is good. As soon as I plug the regulator wires together the fuse blows. So regulator is fried is my guess

You got to wonder why the VR is located where they engineered it to be.

If that were me, I'd have put it where the tuber VR's are...in front of the engine and low.

Yep stator is all good. All 3 legs have 41-44 ac volts at 3000 rpm

Two_seasons - Tuber regulators are on the right side of the battery.

Cptncreme - read posplayers posts before you decide on regulators. posplayer is an electrical engineer and makes a pretty good argument for Series (compufire) over Shunt (oem and mosfet) design regulators.

On the X1 it is on the front of the motor on the forward shock bracket, on some older tubers (S1 me thinks) its else where.
